The present church was built in 1975, following
a fire that burned down the previous structure. The previous church was
built largely by members of the parish..
During the 1970’s, the congregation voted to
leave the Lutheran Church- Missouri Synod and join the English Synod of
the Association of Evangelical Lutheran Churches, which merged into the
Evangelical Lutheran Church in America.
